Studio portraits in low-key lighting

I recently took some in-class/studio portraits of NYC based photographer, Bradford Noble, who is an established photographer specializing in advertising, fashion, and editorials.  These are shots taken in low-key lighting against a dark backdrop to emphasize the moodiness of the photos.  Bradford is also back-lit in some to create a silhouette to add to the drama.   (Lights: hot light, on-camera flash, reflector)

Dang, Bradford, do you moonlight as a model?  It’s pretty obvious he’s at least been around a lot of them. 🙂
