Dedicating December to charity

This is a pretty personal post but something of great importance to me.  I am a Christian who often struggles with her faith.  However, when I think about what my ideal retirement from finance would be, it’s using my creative side to give back for all the blessings in my life.  At the current moment, I haven’t retired from finance nor can I say that I’ve definitively found my calling because I don’t know what life has in store for me.  I only pray that I can peacefully make the transition when the right time comes and that photography will be that calling God has for me.

In the meantime, I am so thankful for starting Jane’s Lens this year and the opportunity to capture lasting memories for family, friends, and my clients.  So I’m taking a small step into turning my business into giving more meaning, not only for myself but for others.  I vow to dedicate December to a charity each year, starting with World Vision in 2013.  50% of all session fees in the month of December will be donated to World Vision to aid in helping children in developing countries.

If you would like to book a session in Dec. or are actively involved in a charity that involves children, I would love to hear from you!  As you know, I have a huge soft spot for little kiddies.  🙂 Please contact me.
